5-9 years Position Overview The Future Artist Instructor will lead a creative, engaging art program designed to introduce children to foundational art concepts and a variety of artistic mediums. This role is ideal for someone passionate about inspiring young artists, guiding hands-on projects, and creating a positive, encouraging classroom environment. Responsibilities Plan and deliver weekly art lessons suitable for children ages 5-9. Introduce students to basic techniques in drawing, painting, mixed media, and creative expression. Prepare materials and set up the classroom prior to each session. Provide step-by-step instruction while allowing freedom for individual creativity. Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants. Encourage students, offer constructive feedback, and support their artistic growth. Communicate as needed with site staff regarding supplies, attendance, or class updates. Manage cleanup and ensure materials are stored properly after class. Qualifications Experience working with children (teaching, tutoring, camps, childcare, or similar). Background in art, design, or creative instruction preferred. Ability to lead a group, communicate clearly, and engage young learners. Reliable, punctual, and able to manage a structured classroom. Positive, encouraging attitude with a passion for helping children develop confidence through art. Compensation Compensation is competitive and based on experience.
