English and Modern Languages Description Summary:
This position is in the College of Education, Humanities, and Behavioral Sciences. The position is a full-time (9-month) non-tenure-track position in the Department of English and Modern Languages.
Examples of Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate courses in Spanish. Participate in the activities of the department, college, and university including recruitment and new course development. Perform other duties as assigned. Typical Qualifications Minimum Position Requirements (including years of experience, certifications, licenses, etc.): Master's degree in Spanish, Spanish Education, or a related field. Proficiency in Spanish (speaking, reading, writing, and listening) At least one (1) year to three (3) years of teaching experience at the college level - Spanish courses. Must have evidence of excellence in teaching. Experience in teaching elementary and intermediate language courses. It is highly desirable that candidates be familiar with innovative teaching techniques and best practices in pedagogy.
