Part-Time About the Position Holy Trinity Lutheran Academy is seeking a caring, responsible, and experienced Spanish Teacher to join our after-school program. We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who enjoys working with children and can make Spanish learning engaging, interactive, and age-appropriate while maintaining a positive and well-structured classroom environment. Responsibilities Teach Spanish vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, pronunciation, and conversational skills Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities Help students build confidence in speaking and using Spanish Adapt instruction to students of different ages and proficiency levels Maintain a positive, organized, and well-managed classroom environment Monitor student participation, learning, and progress Communicate professionally and effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress, needs, and classroom expectations Collaborate effectively with Academy teachers, staff, and administration Encourage students to develop an interest in Spanish language and culture Follow all Academy policies, procedures, and student safety expectations Qualifications Fluent or highly proficient in Spanish Bilingual in Spanish and English Minimum 2 years of teaching experience preferred Experience teaching elementary and/or middle school-aged students Strong classroom management skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with parents/guardians, students, and Academy staff Patient, caring, responsible, dependable, and organized Ability to work with students of different ages, backgrounds, and learning levels Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Must meet Academy requirements regarding background checks and student safety Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or coursework in Spanish, Education, Language Education, Child Development, or a related field Previous experience teaching Spanish in a school, after-school program, tutoring center, or language program Experience developing Spanish language lessons or curriculum Experience communicating with parents regarding student learning and progress Schedule Part-Time / After-School Classes are held during weekday after-school hours. Specific teaching days and hours will be discussed based on the Academy's program needs and the applicant's availability.
