The classes include:

QUALIFICATIONS

Professional Certification:

MA DESE license as a Mandarin Teacher; SEI Endorsement preferred AP Certification preferred

Specialized Knowledge:

CORI, SORI and Fingerprinting:

All appointments are conditional based on a satisfactory CORI, SORI and SAFIS Background Check per 603 CMR 51.00.

Preferred Experience:

Experience teaching English Language learners in a diverse public school setting Experience teaching students with special needs, including students with emotional, behavioral, and/or learning challenges Strong background in language instruction Highly desirable to have experience with: ACTFL Proficiency Standards Proficiency-focused curriculum and instruction Collaborative department planning

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Mandarin teacher does not have supervisory responsibilities, except to direct any paraeducators who may be working with a student in the classroom.

Salary, benefits, and responsibilities per contract between the Westborough School Committee and the Westborough Education Association.
