Job Summary We are currently looking for candidates to fill our part-time, semester-based teaching position. A PPL instructor might teach only one non-credit class in their area of expertise, or might teach several classes, depending on student demand for the subject matter. Similarly, a PPL instructor might teach one, two or three semesters a year depending on need. However, at no point will the PPL instructor teach full-time. Personal & Professional Learning (PPL) offers a variety of professional development and leisure-based, non-credit classes and programs for adults, seniors and children. Required Qualifications Degree/certification in subject area you teach and/or equivalent knowledge/experience. Familiarity and experience working with diverse publics. Preferred Qualifications Previous teaching experience. Writing Skills:

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.

Communication Skills:

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from prospective and current employees, and groups of managers.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Office Environment:

Pay range begins at $22/hour
