This is a full-time position . The RN Instructor will conduct PCA training classes at our training locations in Manhattan and/or the Bronx . The ideal candidate enjoys teaching and mentoring others and is comfortable providing both classroom instruction and hands-on skills training. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required. Responsibilities Teach PCA training classes in accordance with the approved NYS Department of Health curriculum and program requirements Provide classroom instruction and hands-on clinical skills training Demonstrate and evaluate students on required PCA skills and competencies Provide instruction in both English and Spanish Conduct training at locations in Manhattan and/or the Bronx Create an engaging, supportive and professional learning environment Maintain accurate attendance, testing, competency and training records Ensure students successfully complete all required classroom and skills components Provide additional instruction and reinforcement to students as needed Work closely with the Program Director/Coordinator to maintain compliance with NYSDOH training requirements Maintain an organized and properly equipped training and skills-lab environment Qualifications Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing - required Fluent in English and Spanish - required Strong communication, teaching and interpersonal skills Comfortable teaching groups of adult learners Organized, dependable and able to maintain required training documentation Home care experience is a plus Prior teaching, training or healthcare education experience is a plus Experience with PCA/HHA training programs is a plus What We Offer Full-time, stable position Competitive compensation Consistent schedule Professional and supportive work environment Opportunity to teach and mentor individuals beginning careers in healthcare Opportunity to join an established and growing home care organization No traditional bedside nursing assignment Apply Today If you are a bilingual RN who enjoys teaching and mentoring others, we would love to hear from you.
