Hours:
Approximately 1 hour per day, 5 days per week Position Overview The Tennessee School for the Deaf is seeking an experienced ESL Teacher to support deaf and hard-of-hearing students whose foundation in written or spoken language is other than English. The teacher will provide individualized instruction and create an inclusive learning environment tailored to the students' language and communication needs.

Currently, the position supports two students for one hour per day, five days per week. The number of students may change based on enrollment. Key Responsibilities Provide ESL instruction to deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

Develop Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and individualized lesson plans.

Adapt instructional materials to meet students' language and learning needs.

Use effective teaching strategies to ensure students can fully participate in lessons and activities.

Support English language development in written and spoken communication.

Communicate effectively using American Sign Language (ASL).Collaborate with school staff and other educational professionals as needed.

Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher.

Valid Tennessee teaching license.

ESL endorsement on the teaching license.

Background and experience working with deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

Proficiency in or strong working knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL).Ability to develop individualized instruction and adapt educational materials.
Pay:
$22.50 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 per week
