Finance Faculty - 110450 University of West Florida Applications are invited for onefull-time tenure track Assistant Professor of Finance, position number 110450. The position is available with an August 2027 start date,dependent upon university funding. Primary teaching duties will be undergraduate and graduate courses in Finance (face-to-face and online),especially courses associated with Problems in Corporate Finance (the capstone finance course), Investments, Financial Management, and otherFinance-related courses to adequately provide a good foundation in Finance and to prepare students for other classes within the departmentand the Lewis Bear Jr. College of Business. The University of West Florida, located in Pensacola, Florida, primarily emphasizesquality teaching. In addition, faculty members are expected to publish in quality refereed journals, maintain AACSB academic qualifications,perform career and academic counseling, and serve on departmental, college, and university committees. A normal teaching load is threecourses per semester. This position may require teaching at the nearby Fort Walton Beach campus of the university (approximately 50 mileseast of the Pensacola campus). Salary is AACSB competitive and will be commensurate with experience. MinimumQualifications Doctoral degree from an AACSB-accredited institution in Finance or a closely related field, including atleast 18 graduate semester hours in Finance and a strong commitment to teaching, academic research, and service. Continuingprofessional development and an active research agenda to maintain qualifications for performing teaching assignments. Post-secondaryteaching experience, including proven effectiveness in online course development and teaching. Evidence of potential for qualityscholarship, including publication in qualifying academic journals. Documented experience teaching (both in person and online)Problems in Corporate Finance (the capstone finance course), Investments, and Financial Management. Meet the College's minimumrequirements for status as a scholarly academic faculty member. Preferred Qualifications Professionalwork experience that is directly related to financial management/planning is strongly preferred. Relevant professionalcertifications are highly preferred. Demonstrated excellence in teaching as supported by one or more teaching awards, honors, and/orrecognition.
