In this energetic role, you will inspire confidence, foster skill development, and promote a fun, safe environment for beginners eager to learn skating and hockey fundamentals. Whether working with children or adults, your enthusiasm and coaching expertise will help build lifelong love for the sport. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop coaching skills while making a positive impact in your community. Duties Lead engaging and instructional skating or hockey lessons tailored to various age groups and skill levels Demonstrate proper skating techniques, safety procedures, and sportsmanship principles Design progressive lesson plans that promote skill improvement and confidence building Ensure all participants adhere to safety guidelines, including proper use of protective gear and understanding of rink rules Communicate effectively with clients, parents, and team members to provide feedback and progress updates Maintain a safe environment by monitoring behavior management and responding promptly to any incidents or injuries Assist with organizing drills, games, and team activities that promote teamwork and sportsmanship Skills Experience working with children in sports or educational settings, demonstrating patience and effective communication skills Background in sports coaching, including sports-specific training instruction such as hockey, soccer, basketball, cheerleading, or climbing Knowledge of first aid procedures, CPR certification, AED operation, and emergency response protocols Prior experience in lifeguard roles or swimming instruction is a plus for promoting water safety awareness Familiarity with martial arts disciplines like karate or judo enhances discipline-based coaching approaches Ability to manage behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning environment Strong team leadership qualities with excellent interpersonal skills to connect with participants of all ages Join us in creating an energetic atmosphere where beginners thrive! Pay:
