Job Description

Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Swimming Pool Form and Steel Assistant to join our construction team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the building of high-quality swimming pools by assisting with formwork, steel reinforcement, and concrete work. Your expertise will help ensure that each project meets safety standards, technical specifications, and quality expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in construction, working on diverse projects that challenge your mechanical knowledge and craftsmanship. Responsibilities Assist with the construction of pool formwork using various hand tools and power tools, ensuring accurate interpretation of blueprints and technical drawings. Install rebar reinforcement according to blueprint specifications, maintaining proper spacing and securing rebar for stability. Support concrete pouring operations using concrete mixers and concrete pumping equipment, ensuring proper placement and finishing of concrete surfaces. Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks such as concrete cutting, demolition, or material transport as needed on-site. Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations, including proper handling of tools, heavy lifting techniques, and site safety procedures. Collaborate with carpenters, masons, and other trades to coordinate work sequences and ensure smooth project progression. Assist with renovation projects involving formwork construction, plastering, flooring installation, and masonry work to meet project timelines. Experience Prior experience working on construction projects involving concrete forming, rebar installation, or related trades is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and understanding of construction plans is advantageous. Hands-on experience operating power tools, heavy machinery, and hand tools in a construction environment. Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and best practices for maintaining a safe work environment. Background in carpentry, masonry, or flooring installation will be considered a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate concrete mixers or pumps effectively is essential for success in this role.
