Bachelor's Degree 2. Prior experience as a coach at the high school or college level Job Description Culture & Character 1. Foster the health, safety, and well-being of every student-athlete, maintaining a safe environment at all times. 2. Lead the program in alignment with the KCC philosophy of Character, Faith, and Knowledge. 3. Model Christ-like character and demonstrate strong sportsmanship in all interactions. 4. Treat each student-athlete with respect and dignity as an individual. 5. Build a strong sense of team and camaraderie among athletes and coaching staff. Program Leadership 6. Oversee all aspects of the Baseball program. 7. Partner with middle school coaches to align philosophy and expectations across program levels. 8. Stay current on trends, strategy, and best practices in baseball. 9. Encourage multi-sport participation among student-athletes. 10. Maintain accurate inventory and upkeep of all baseball equipment. Student & Family Support 11. Set practice and game time demands that respect the primacy of academics and family, communicating expectations clearly and in advance. 12. Make time to meet with parents at mutually convenient times, consistent with the athletic department's communication guidelines. 13. Support student-athletes'; post-high-school athletic planning when appropriate. 14. Collaborate with school staff to advocate for student-athletes'; best interests. 15. Work proactively with academically ineligible students to help them regain eligibility.
