Help Young Children Learn, Move and Grow Through Sports SuperTots Sports Academy is hiring enthusiastic, dependable coaches to lead fun, beginner-friendly sports classes for children ages 18 months to 5 years. This is a great part-time opportunity for college students, teachers, coaches and anyone who enjoys working with young children. You don't need to be an expert athlete or have previous coaching experience. We provide the curriculum, equipment, training and ongoing support you need to succeed. Our programs include SoccerTots, HoopsterTots, BaseballTots, 1stDownTots, VolleyKats and Multi-SportTots. Classes are offered throughout New Orleans, Metairie, Kenner, the Westbank, Destrehan and Chalmette. What You'll Do Lead engaging sports and movement classes using our provided curriculum Teach age-appropriate motor skills, sports fundamentals and life skills Create a positive, encouraging and noncompetitive environment Set up and pack away equipment before and after each class Take attendance and complete basic program administration Communicate professionally with parents and provide participant feedback Help children build confidence while making each class fun Who We're Looking For Our best coaches are energetic, responsible and comfortable taking the lead with a group of young children. You should be patient, encouraging and able to communicate well with both children and parents.

Applicants must:

Enjoy working with children Be dependable and committed to arriving on time Have reliable transportation Be willing to travel to assigned locations within the Greater New Orleans area Be available after 2:45 p.m. on weekdays and/or on Saturdays Commit to assigned classes for the full 6- to 10-week program Become First Aid and CPR certified before leading their first program Experience in education, coaching, recreation, child development, kinesiology or athletics is helpful but not required. Schedule SuperTots offers year-round weekday afternoon and Saturday programs. We'll work with you to create a consistent schedule around your classes, primary job or other commitments. About SuperTots SuperTots Sports Academy is a locally owned and family-run youth sports program serving families throughout Greater New Orleans. Our professionally designed curriculum uses imaginative games and age-appropriate instruction to help young children develop coordination, fitness, confidence and an early love of sports.
