Head Soccer Coach - Youth Soccer Teams (U7-U15) | Fall 2026 Brit-Am Soccer is NOW hiring experienced and motivated youth soccer coaches for the Fall 2026 season! Are you passionate about soccer and enjoy helping young players grow? Join Brit-Am All Star Academy as a Head Coach and lead a competitive, positive, and development-focused youth soccer team in Montgomery County, Maryland. This is a great opportunity for coaches who want to gain valuable experience, develop as leaders, and make a meaningful impact on young athletes both on and off the field. Why Coach with Brit-Am? Flexible coaching schedule Earn $200-$2,000+ per month , depending on the number of teams coached, experience, and qualifications Opportunity to earn additional income through other Brit-Am programs, including TOTS and the Player Development League (PDL) Professional coaching education and development opportunities Support from experienced Academy Directors and coaching staff Fun, active, and positive work environment Opportunity to coach players ages U7-U15 Competitive local leagues, including SAM Select, MSI Classic, EDP & EDP Futures Opportunities to grow within a larger youth soccer organization The Role As a Brit-Am All Star Academy Head Coach, you will be responsible for the safety, development, organization, and overall management of your team while upholding Brit-Am's coaching standards and player-development philosophy. You will help players improve their soccer skills, confidence, teamwork, communication, and leadership while creating a positive and enjoyable team environment. Key Responsibilities Lead a minimum of two team training sessions per week Attend all scheduled league games and tournaments Plan and deliver training sessions using Brit-Am's coaching curriculum Manage and develop youth players in a positive, competitive environment Communicate professionally and consistently with players, parents, and club leadership Attend team and family meetings as needed Complete player evaluations each season Participate in tryouts, clinics, and player evaluations when requested Communicate regularly with Academy Directors regarding team development and concerns Maintain team organization and administrative responsibilities Serve as a positive role model for all players Continue developing your coaching knowledge through education, workshops, and professional development Follow all Brit-Am policies, procedures, and coaching standards Season Schedule The Head Coach position runs from late August 2026 through May 2027. During the season, coaches are expected to commit to: Team Practices Two mandatory practices per week per team: Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday Generally between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM Games Typically one game per weekend per team Saturday or Sunday, generally between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM Occasional Friday evening games Qualifications At least 1 year of experience coaching youth soccer players ages 6-14 in a team environment Ability to manage, motivate, and develop youth athletes Strong communication and organizational skills Reliable and responsive with email, phone, and other forms of communication Valid driver's license and access to reliable personal transportation Must be authorized to work in the United States
COACHING LICENSE REQUIREMENTS A
coaching license is not required to start working, however the US Soccer in-person Grassroots soccer coaching license will be required to obtain within the first 6 months of employment for All Star Academy Team Coaches. This requirement may be temporarily waived for candidates who are actively working toward obtaining their license.
REQUIRED NEW COACH TRAINING
- Summer 2026 Training is required before coaching your own team. Training takes place during the summer before the Fall 2026 season begins. New coaches can complete their required training through either evening summer practices or summer camps. Evening Summer Practices Monday-Thursday evenings Generally between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM Practices take place in Bethesda and Potomac, Maryland Summer Camps Monday-Friday Generally 9:00 AM-12:00 PM Summer camp training opportunities are available before the Fall 2026 season New coaches are expected to complete at least 2-5 hours of in-person training , although additional training may be required depending on coaching experience and performance. What Training Looks Like During training, you will work alongside experienced Brit-Am coaches by attending a small number of team practices or summer camp sessions. This hands-on process allows us to evaluate your confidence, communication skills & coaching qualities and help prepare you to lead your own team/group beginning in late August 2026 . Initial training is unpaid. Reimbursement may be available after successfully completing your first full season with Brit-Am.
