Company Overview Hillsdale Community Schools is a dedicated public school district serving students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and motivated Boys Baseball Coach for our Junior Varsity (JV) team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young athletes, develop their skills, and promote sportsmanship. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for coaching, strong leadership abilities, and experience working with youth in a sports setting. Responsibilities Plan and execute engaging baseball practices tailored to JV athletes' skill levels and developmental needs Teach fundamental baseball techniques, strategies, and game rules to players Foster a positive team environment that emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship Monitor player safety during practices and games, ensuring adherence to safety protocols Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school staff regarding team activities and progress Lead team during competitions, providing motivation and tactical guidance Promote good behavior and sportsmanship both on and off the field Requirements Prior experience coaching baseball or other sports at the youth or high school level Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate young athletes Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and staff Knowledge of sports-specific training techniques and game strategies Ability to operate AED (Automated External Defibrillator) equipment and perform First Aid/CPR in emergencies Experience working with children or adolescents in educational or athletic settings Background in other sports such as soccer, basketball, cheerleading, climbing, judo, karate or martial arts is a plus Familiarity with behavior management techniques to foster a respectful team environment Relevant certifications in coaching, sports safety, or physical education are desirable Join us to make a lasting impact on student-athletes' lives by fostering growth both on the field and beyond.
