Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Adaptive Swim Instructor, where your passion for swimming and dedication to inclusive instruction will inspire swimmers of all abilities. In this role, you will design and deliver engaging, adaptive swimming lessons tailored to individual needs, ensuring a safe, supportive, and motivating environment. Your expertise will help participants build confidence, improve skills, and enjoy the water while promoting health and well-being. The job is weekday afternoon/evenings and weekends. Flexible with choosing hours within those times. Duties Develop customized swim lesson plans that accommodate various skill levels and physical or developmental challenges Lead engaging water-based activities that promote safety, skill development, and enjoyment for all participants Monitor swimmers closely to ensure safety, applying first aid, CPR, and AED procedures as needed Communicate effectively with clients, parents, and team members to provide progress updates and address individual needs Manage behavior and foster a positive learning environment through effective behavior management strategies Maintain accurate records of lessons, progress reports, safety incidents, and attendance Experience Prior experience working with children of all learning needs Demonstrated ability to teach swimming techniques or desire to learn as training will be provided Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration are essential Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support diverse learners in water safety and skill acquisition
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
