New Mexico Military Institute:
The New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) is a state-supported, co- educational institution offering college preparatory education at the high school and junior college levels. With a student body of up to 1,000 cadets, NMMI provides a comprehensive academic experience complemented by Junior and Senior Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs. The high school curriculum is fully accredited and prepares students for higher education. The junior college program facilitates cadet transfer to four-year colleges and universities. Additionally, NMMI houses the Intermediate Preparatory Academy (IPA) for grades 6-8.

Position:
Under the direction of the Director of Athletics or their designee, the GAC Coordinator /Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for oversight and execution of various physical fitness and conditioning programs; requires the ability to teach HPER and activity classes as assigned, as well as assist the Athletics Coordinator of Strength and Conditioning with team, group, and individual training for NMMI's sports teams. This is a 12-month, full-time, exempt position. The salary range is $42,000.00 to $46,000.00. The job description is available upon request.
Tasks:
Essential Skills:
- Oversight of Godfrey Athletic Center operations.
- Ability to demonstrate exercise and drill techniques.
- Develop and the Corps Physical Fitness
- Ability to demonstrate and coach the Olympic lift program in accordance with current training variations. philosophies and modalities.
- Ability to create and maintain safe and efficient training
- Develop and coordinate the Prep Physical Fitness environments for all cadets. program per the needs of the cadet's academy.
- Ability to teach in traditional and non-traditional class
Including knowledge of service academies' physical settings.
