Job Description The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Coach to support our Boys Varsity Swimming Team for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, and a commitment to developing young athletes both on and off the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement training programs that enhance athletic performance.
Organize and lead practices, games, and competitions.
Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
Communicate regularly with athletes, parents, and staff about team progress and expectations.
Analyze player performance and provide constructive feedback.
Collaborate with other coaches and staff to promote a cohesive athletic program.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience in swimming at the high school, collegiate, or club level.
- Strong knowledge of track rules and strategies.
- The ability to motivate and inspire athletes of varying skill levels.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Candidates must hold a valid NYS Teaching certificate, NYS coaching certificate, or be willing to obtain one.
