Description Job Overview:
As a Strength & Conditioning Coach at our luxury wellness club in Greenwich Village, you will be an integral part of our commitment to providing exceptional member experiences and hospitality. You will work closely with our esteemed members to design personalized fitness programs tailored to their goals, ensuring they receive the highest level of service and support throughout their wellness journey. This role requires a passion for fitness, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a dedication to delivering unparalleled results in a luxury setting. This job reports to the Head of Human Performance. Must be able to reliably commute to West Village, Manhattan. This is a part time role.
Key Responsibilities:
Member Engagement and Personalized Training:
Build strong relationships with members, understanding their fitness goals, preferences, and any relevant health considerations. Design and/or execute personalized fitness programs based on individual needs, incorporating a variety of training techniques and modalities. Provide ongoing support, motivation, and guidance to members to help them achieve their fitness objectives.
Hospitality and Member Experience:
Ensure every member's interaction reflects the epitome of hospitality and luxury service. Create a welcoming and inclusive environment where members feel valued, respected, and supported throughout their wellness journey. Anticipate and exceed member expectations by delivering exceptional service at every touchpoint.
Training Expertise and Execution:
Demonstrate expertise in fitness training methodologies, including strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, mobility training, and functional movement. Conduct thorough fitness assessments and consultations to accurately evaluate member fitness levels and establish realistic goals. Lead personalized training sessions with a focus on safety, proper form, and effective exercise progression.
Continuous Learning and Development:
Stay informed about the latest developments in fitness science, industry trends, and emerging technologies. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge base. Share insights and best practices with colleagues to foster a culture of learning and collaboration.
Team Collaboration and Support:
Collaborate with fellow coaches, fitness instructors, and other club staff to ensure a seamless member experience. Communicate effectively with the Head of Human Performance and other department leaders to address member feedback and optimize service delivery. Provide support and assistance to colleagues as needed to uphold the club's standards of excellence.
Qualifications:
Must hold a current credible training certification
NASM ACE NSCA ISSA
Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal training, preferably in a luxury fitness or wellness environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and establish trust and confidence in your care. Compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with a genuine passion for helping others achieve optimal health and well-being. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate client records and documentation. Flexible schedule availability, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client appointments. CPR certification and knowledge of first aid procedures preferred but not required.
