Job Description

Rye Country Day School is seeking a Boys JV Squash Head Coach. The squash season takes place between November 14 - March 1. Required hours during the season are Monday - Friday, 3pm-6pm. Involvement in the middle school squash program is encouraged but not required. Middle school athletics takes place Monday-Friday from 2pm- 3:30pm. Rye Country Day School is a coeducational, Prek-12, college preparatory school located in Westchester County, New York dedicated to providing students with an excellent education using both traditional and innovative approaches. Specific responsibilities of the position include: Serve as Head Boys JV Squash Coach for the Upper School Effectively planning and organizing both practice and competition calendars in conjunction with Athletic Director and Staff Creating an inclusive, exciting, and challenging environment each day Collaborating with the Director of Squash in planning and communication Maintaining a safe environment at all times Communicating with athletes, parents, coaches, and opponents in a professional manner Desired qualifications: Minimum of 3-years successful high school Boys Squash Coaching experience A passion for athletic competition and the ability to motivate and inspire athletes Excellent written and verbal communication skills Commitment to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive school community Energetic and enthusiastic, flexible and patient RCDS seeks faculty and staff who support our mission to foster a lifelong passion for learning, understanding, and service in an ever-changing world, and who share our commitment to creating and sustaining a vibrant, thriving, and inclusive multicultural learning community. Salary range:
$5,000 - $7,500 depending on level of play and coaching experience
