We use gymnastics, sports skills, games, music, dance, and age-appropriate activities to help children develop: Confidence Coordination Strength Listening Skills Social Skills Independence Teamwork Physical Fitness Every class is filled with laughter, encouragement, and celebration. What You'll Do You'll lead exciting movement-based classes for children ages 4 months through 12 years using The Little Gym's nationally recognized curriculum.
Responsibilities include:
Teach engaging gymnastics, sports, dance, and movement classes Lead warm-ups, obstacle courses, games, music activities, and skill stations Create a safe, positive, encouraging learning environment Build children's confidence through praise, encouragement, and coaching Welcome and communicate with parents before and after class Set up and put away equipment Help with Birthday Parties, Camps, Parent Survival Nights, Practice Times, and special events Learn child development, safety procedures, spotting techniques, and The Little Gym teaching philosophy Support teammates and help maintain a clean, organized facility Arrive prepared, professional, and ready to bring positive energy to every class What Makes Someone Successful Here You are someone who: Loves children and enjoys seeing them succeed Has a naturally positive attitude Brings enthusiasm and energy every day Can confidently lead groups of children Is dependable and punctual Communicates well with both children and adults Enjoys staying active throughout your shift Works well with a team Accepts coaching and feedback with a growth mindset Creates an environment where every child feels welcomed, encouraged, and successful Minimum Qualifications Job Experience working with children is required. Must be able to actively move throughout the entire shift, including bending, kneeling, lifting equipment, demonstrating movement, and safely assisting children. Professional, dependable, friendly, and punctual. CPR/AED, First Aid, and SafeSport Certification required within 30 days of hire (training available). Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following: Gymnastics Dance Cheerleading Tumbling Sports Coaching Physical Education Recreation Childcare Summer Camps Teaching Early Childhood Education Customer Service Youth Leadership Programs Why This Job Is Different At The Little Gym, we don't just hire coaches.
