Job Description

Job Overview Highpoint Fitness is a member-focused facility dedicated to making our members feel comfortable, valued, and inspired. Our Swim Instructor team is growing, and we are looking for skilled and enthusiastic Swim Instructors to join our team. The Swim Instructor is responsible for teaching swimming techniques and water safety to students of all ages and skill levels. The ideal candidate will have a passion for swimming and a desire to help others improve their skills. Prior experience a plus. We offer very competitive pay and flexible hours. Great for high school students. The position also includes a free membership to Highpoint Fitness!

Job Responsibilities:

Swim Instructors are responsible for helping students reach their full potential in the water by proving training in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Duties include:

Instruct students on water safety Demonstrate and teach proper swimming strokes Develop swim lessons for all ages and skill levels Provide feedback and encouragement during lessons Evaluate students to assess progress Plan future lessons Communicate progress with parents and caregivers Celebrate student successes Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress

Job Requirements:

Lifeguarding/First Aid certification• CPR/AED certifications PA Clearances Previous experience as a Swim Instructor or lifeguard Strong swimming skills and knowledge of swimming techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with students of all ages and skill levels Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed •We can help you obtain your certification.

Hours:

Part-time and full time Flexible schedule All shifts available, including nights and weekends The ideal candidate will be:
