Job Overview The Strength & Conditioning Coach is responsible for designing and implementing safe, effective training programs that enhance athletic performance for junior high and high school athletes. This role focuses on developing strength, speed, agility, power, mobility, and injury prevention while fostering proper movement mechanics, discipline, and a positive training environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and lead age-appropriate strength and conditioning sessions. Teach proper lifting techniques and movement mechanics. Develop programs to improve strength, speed, agility, power, and overall athletic performance. Monitor athlete progress and modify programs as needed. Promote injury prevention through proper warm-ups, mobility, and recovery strategies. Maintain a safe, organized, and clean training environment. Build positive relationships with athletes, coaches, and parents while promoting accountability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. Qualifications Proven experience in sports performance training Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and body mechanics essential for program design and injury prevention Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, first aid, and manual handling required Excellent coaching skills with the ability to motivate a wide range of athletic ability Ability to work alongside other strength and conditioning coaches Strong communication skills with a focus on client rapport building and customer service excellence Must be able to submit
