Harker Heights, TX Job Details Contract $14 - $22 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications Youth fitness CPR Certification Soccer coaching High school diploma or GED First Aid Certification Teaching Soccer First aid and CPR Full Job Description Overview We are seeking an energetic and motivated Youth Soccer Instructor to lead engaging soccer programs for children and youth within our community. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young athletes, foster teamwork, and promote healthy physical activity through sports coaching. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, sports-specific training instruction, and a passion for working with children to create a positive and dynamic environment. Duties Lead youth soccer training sessions, practices, and games, ensuring a fun, safe, structured, and inclusive environment for all participants. Develop and lead age-appropriate training drills that improve dribbling, passing, shooting, ball control, footwork, positioning, and overall soccer knowledge. Evaluate participant skill development and provide positive, constructive feedback to help players improve. Teach teamwork, sportsmanship, communication, and proper soccer fundamentals. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and guardians to provide updates on program activities and participant progress. Manage behavior and encourage positive interactions among players to foster team spirit. Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities, including proper use of soccer equipment and adherence to safety guidelines. Maintain equipment inventory and ensure the cleanliness of training areas. Collaborate with other staff members to plan special events, skills evaluations and soccer clinics that promote community engagement. Qualifications 3 -5 years Prior soccer playing, coaching, or soccer-specific training experience is required . Competitive club, high school, collegiate, or advanced playing experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals, rules, terminology, and player-development techniques. Ability to demonstrate and teach fundamental soccer skills to participants at different ability levels. Demonstrated ability to work with children in a coaching or childcare setting. Knowledge of sports coaching techniques, team leadership, and behavior-management strategies. Certification in First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) is required; AED operation knowledge is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective parent/guardian interaction and team coordination. Experience teaching physical education, coaching youth athletics, or working with students in active environments is desirable. A positive, energetic coaching style with the ability to motivate young athletes and create an environment focused on development and confidence.
