For over 10 years , we have been committed to developing competitive baseball players while teaching the values of hard work, accountability, teamwork, and character. We are looking for coaches who want to be part of an established organization and make a meaningful impact on young athletes both on and off the field. We practice in our own facility in Gig Harbor. We are looking for coaches who want to teach the game, develop players, compete at a high level, and be part of something bigger than themselves. We are looking for coaches who: Have a strong understanding of the game of baseball Have previous coaching experience, preferably with competitive/select baseball Are passionate about player development and helping athletes reach their potential Can teach fundamental skills while developing advanced baseball IQ Lead by example and hold players accountable Communicate effectively with players, parents, and other coaches Are organized, dependable, and committed to their team Create a positive, competitive, and disciplined team environment Head Coach Responsibilities Plan and run practices, workouts, and team activities Develop individual player skills and overall team development Create game plans and manage games and tournaments Communicate expectations and schedules with families Work closely with the organization's leadership and coaching staff Maintain a positive and competitive team culture Help players understand the importance of preparation, accountability, and teamwork Represent Shockwave Baseball Club professionally within the baseball community Assistant Coach Responsibilities Assist the Head Coach with practices and games Provide position-specific instruction and player development Help create a positive and competitive practice environment Support team organization and communication Assist with game-day responsibilities and tournaments Be a positive role model for players

Qualifications Preferred:

Previous select/travel baseball coaching experience Playing or coaching experience at the high school, college, or professional level Knowledge of modern player development, pitching, hitting, defense, and baseball strategy Strong communication and leadership skills

Required:

Reliable transportation Ability to commit to the team's practice and tournament schedule Successful completion of any required background screening Professional and positive approach to working with youth athletes Join us in shaping the next generation of athletes!
