Overview The Ski Instructor delivers engaging, safe, and effective ski instruction to guests of varying ages and ability levels. Reporting to a Base Area Supervisor, this role creates exceptional guest experiences by fostering confidence, skill development, and a lifelong passion for snow sports. Success is measured through guest satisfaction, teaching excellence, professionalism, and teamwork. Come work and play at Seattle's home mountain, the Summit at Snoqualmie. Located an hour from Seattle, at the junction where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Interstate 90. With summer activities ramping up with spectacular Mountain Biking trails and Scenic Lift Rides, there is a lot to do all year long. Responsibilities Job duties may include, but are not limited to: Long Term Thinking
Build guest confidence and enthusiasm for skiing.
Participate in training, clinics, and certifications. Excellence in Execution
Deliver lessons aligned with
PSIA/AASI
standards.
Assess guest abilities and objectives. Attitude is Everything
Communicate effectively with guests and coworkers.
Maintain professionalism under changing mountain conditions. Develop Great People
Support peer learning and share best practices.
Pursue coaching and development opportunities. Serve First
Deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Adapt instruction to varying ages and abilities.
Qualifications What we are looking for: Required Minimum age 16. Strong guest service and communication skills. Teaching, coaching, or mentoring experience. Ability to work weekends and holidays. Wage and Benefit Info:
The wage range for this positions is: from $21.75-27.75 /hr DOE This is a non-benefited role. All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff). All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
