Exempt Bargaining Unit 0 Description Adjuncts are hired on a course basis each term. Salary Range for Adjuncts teaching in this academic area is $500.00 - $3,750.00 per course. Governors State University 's College of Arts and Sciences seeks to create an available pool of Adjunct Faculty candidates to teach courses in our Communication program. Courses taught by adjunct faculty in the above program are primarily for undergraduate. Depending on qualifications and experience, graduates teaching opportunities may be available.

We are particularly interested in adjunct faculty to teach courses in Journalism, Public Relations and Advertising, Strategic Communication, and Critical Cultural Studies. Interested individuals are invited to complete a faculty profile, attach a cover letter, curriculum vitae, transcripts, and a list of references for consideration. At Governors State University, adjunct faculty are hired as temporary faculty with teaching responsibilities for a specific course in a semester or summer session. Adjuncts are not part of the faculty bargaining unit and are not included in membership of the Faculty Senate. Required and Preferred Qualifications Minimum QualificationsA Master's degree in Communication or a related discipline. Preferred QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have experience teaching undergraduate, graduate, and/or online courses.
