SUMMARY Provides instructional training related to 911 Telecommunications/Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) from nationally certified 911 curriculum.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for providing instruction and preparing lesson plans based on nationally certified 911 curriculum Delivers training related to the Public Safety Telecommunications program Continually promotes students' development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, professionalism, customer service, computation, problem solving, and decision-making Maintains accurate, up-to-date records of student academic and attendance performance Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
Associate's Degree Significant related experience may substitute for education Minimum of five years of experience in Public Safety Communications Advanced communication (verbal, written, and interpersonal) and organizational skills Demonstrated proficiency in Word Processing and PowerPoint Presentation software, as well as Internet and Email basic skills Ability to assess and grade the progress of students Advanced communication (verbal, written, and interpersonal) and organizational skills Possess sensitivity to respond appropriately to the community

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
Associate's Degree and certification in Telecommunications and EMD Must be able to obtain all required Instructor certifications within 60 days of hire date
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, pamphlets, books, etc.; Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksite
Special Note:
This is a Part-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position, with the following
Set Rate of Pay:
$25.00/ hour. If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1 Recruitment and Selection Procedure .
