Job Description:
The Computer Science Department is seeking to hire an adjunct instructor to teach one evening in-person section of Problem Solving with Programming, CSIS-201 , for the Fall 2026 Semester. The
CSIS-201
course is a lab-based course providing extra practice and intensive support to students who are taking Data Structures, CSIS-210, simultaneously. The class meets once weekly for 2 hours (2 contact hours for the instructor). The instructor will be expected to work closely with the Data Structures instructor to provide timely practice and support, to identify existing materials and to develop new materials, and to be available outside of the class meeting time for office hours. Students earn 1 credit and are graded on a Pass/Fail basis.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science or a closely related field. Teaching experience in Computer Science or a closely related field, or demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching. Ability to teach courses in person on the Siena University campus in Loudonville, NY.

Pay Rate:
$1333.34 per contact hour •The hiring pay rate above represents the University's good faith estimate at the time of posting in compliance with the Albany County Salary Transparency Law.
