Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
shall include but is not limited to the following : Assist staff in implementing Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and Person Centered Instructional Plan (PCIP) Assist instructional staff in preparation of lesson plans, and in monitoring of implementation of plans Research materials and curricula to assist staff in instructional process Provide suggestions for enhancement of instructional process Assist with formal and informal student assessment processes as needed Assist preparation of materials for use in instructional processes Conduct staff training as needed Assist with monitoring of staff performance and provide feedback on their performance Prepare or assist in the preparation of documentation of service delivery assist with preparation of required service delivery documentation Participation in crisis management procedures
Qualifications:
Minimum of B.S. in education (special education preferred) or psychology, 1 years teaching or instructional experience; demonstrated knowledge of systematic instructional principles; good driving record preferred, BCBA or BCaBA preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. To include, but not limited to: lifting and lowering individuals to and from the floor, standing from kneeling position and dropping to kneeling position while physically controlling an individual, blocking attempted blows and bites, transporting individuals in crisis state, and deflecting blows from thrown objects Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal standards
