In this role, you will design and implement engaging instructional strategies tailored to individual student requirements, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Your expertise will help students develop essential academic, social, and behavioral skills, empowering them to reach their full potential. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children while collaborating with a dynamic team of educational professionals. Responsibilities Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and tailored to students' unique learning profiles, including those with developmental disabilities and autism. Implement instructional modifications and accommodations to support diverse learners, ensuring compliance with special education laws and IEP (Individualized Education Program) requirements. Utilize educational technology tools and learning software to enhance engagement and facilitate effective instruction across subjects such as literacy, math, early childhood education, and visual impairment education. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques, creating a safe, respectful, and motivating environment for all students. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavioral concerns, and developmental milestones to foster strong home-school partnerships. Collaborate with fellow teachers, specialists (such as speech therapists or occupational therapists), and support staff to coordinate instructional strategies and share best practices. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor student growth, identify areas for improvement, and adjust teaching approaches accordingly. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; advanced certifications in special education or related disciplines preferred. Proven experience working with children or students with disabilities, including those with autism or visual impairments. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavioral therapy strategies. Familiarity with IEP development, special education law, instructional design, and educational technology integration. Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs while maintaining high standards of educational excellence.
