Literacy Instructional Coach Palmetto, FL | Charter "A" Rated School A highly regarded "A" rated charter school in Palmetto, Florida is seeking a dedicated and experienced Literacy Instructional Coach to support teachers and school leaders in strengthening literacy instruction and improving student achievement. This position is ideal for an experienced educator with a strong background in Science of Reading, evidence-based literacy practices, data-driven instruction, and teacher coaching. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide instructional coaching and support to teachers, with approximately 80% of the role focused on teacher coaching and professional development.
  • Model effective literacy instructional strategies through whole-group and small-group instruction.
  • Support teachers in implementing Science of Reading principles and evidence-based reading strategies with fidelity.
  • Coach teachers on foundational reading skills, including phonics, decoding, and encoding.
  • Assist teachers with collecting, analyzing, and using student assessment data to guide instruction.
  • Identify instructional needs and provide non-evaluative, constructive feedback to teachers.
  • Facilitate grade-level collaborative planning sessions and professional learning opportunities.
  • Support literacy leadership teams and school-wide literacy initiatives.
  • Partner with school administrators to develop and implement strategies designed to improve reading achievement.
  • Work with district literacy specialists to support literacy initiatives and approved instructional resources.
  • Promote literacy across content areas and contribute to school-wide professional learning.
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a high level of professionalism when working with educators and students.
