Job Summary:
The CSI Coach provides instructional leadership and systems coordination to improve teaching, learning, and student outcomes. This position combines the responsibilities of coaching as well as working in cooperation with building leadership to support continuous school improvement processes, including preparation for monitoring and site visits. The CSI Coach will partner with staff and leadership to strengthen instructional practices, support data-informed decision-making, and ensure alignment with district and state expectations. Preference will be given to candidates with experience serving in a high-poverty, high-minority student population and is focused on strengthening instructional quality, building effective systems, and accelerating student achievement.

Hiring Specifications:
Education Bachelors degree in education Masters degree in educational field, preferred Content endorsement Certification Iowa teaching certification Experience 5 or more years of successful classroom teaching experience. Experience supporting continuous improvement efforts to impact student outcomes and/or supporting Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) processes aligned to ESSA designations preferred. Previous coaching experience preferred. Documented evidence of data movement. Experience supporting diverse, high-needs student populations preferred. Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Strong knowledge of instructional best practices, differentiation, and data-driven instruction and coaching skills Ability to analyze and use data to drive improvement Knowledge of MTSS frameworks and intervention systems Strong organization, communication, facilitation skills and relationship-building skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead improvement efforts collaboratively Commitment to equity and student success Technology Requirements Ability to navigate Google Suite Computer network knowledge applicable to the position Knowledge of computer-related storage devices Knowledge of educational copyright laws Knowledge of computer security expectations

Job Duties:
Instructional Leadership Provide job-embedded instructional coaching and classroom support to teachers Model effective instructional strategies, differentiation, and classroom management practices Support lesson design, assessment practices, and intervention planning Facilitate professional learning communities (PLCs) and staff professional development Analyze student data with staff to guide instructional decisions and improve outcomes Strengthen differentiation to meet the needs of all learners, including students with IEPs and ELP students. Continuous School Improvement & Coordination Lead development, implementation, and monitoring of the school improvement plan Support district and state CSI requirements, documentation, and reporting Prepare for and support the coordination of district/state monitoring visits and reviews Collect and organize evidence of progress, compliance, and implementation fidelity Track progress toward improvement goals and communicate results to stakeholders Support implementation of schoolwide systems aligned to the MTSS framework Collaboration & Systems Support Serve on the school leadership team and support schoolwide initiatives Partner with administrators to identify priorities and address instructional or systems needs Promote a positive, student-centered culture focused on growth, accountability, and equity Facilitate communication between staff, district leaders, and external partners Work collaboratively with Iowa Department of Ed ESSA Educational Consultant The ideal candidate is equity-focused, solutions-oriented, and committed to improving instruction in ways that result in measurable gains for students.
