9650083-02333 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Reading Specialist, supporting middle and high school students by transforming their literacy journey. This role offers the chance to make a real difference with a manageable caseload of 27 students across grades 712. The schedule is MondayFriday, 7:15am2:15pm, empowering you to work consistently with each student and see their progress firsthand.

Key Qualifications:

Active Massachusetts teacher certification in Reading and/or Special Education preferred Orton-Gillingham training is a plus, reflecting expertise in evidence-based strategies Demonstrated skill in small group and individualized reading instruction Strong background in progress monitoring and assessment Proficiency in collaborating with IEP teams and developing meaningful IEP goals Competence in using assistive technology to support learning Excellent organizational and communication abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver targeted reading instruction to individuals and small groups, tailored to each students needs Conduct pre- and post-assessments to monitor growth and adjust instruction accordingly Play an active role in developing, implementing, and tracking IEP goals for assigned students Collaborate with an interdisciplinary IEP Team to ensure comprehensive support Integrate assistive technology and proven methodologies that engage and empower learners In addition to highly competitive compensation and weekly pay, enjoy access to comprehensive insurance plansincluding medical, dental, vision, and lifeplus a matching 401k and flexible spending account.
