Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Valid NYS teaching certificate in Students with Disabilities - Birth-2

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:

Experience, knowledge and background related to Next Generation Learning Standards and its relationship to student growth and success. Desire and knowledge to embed structured learning experiences around the five broad developmental domains, Specially Designed Instruction considerations when co-planning. Evidence of strong communication and interpersonal skills with parents, staff, students, related service providers, support staff and administration. Desire and ability to work collaboratively with direct and indirect academic teams. Evidence of support of inclusive learning activities and learning environment. Knowledge and evidence of Individualized Education Programming and subsequent document development. Evidence of strong classroom management with an emphasis on student engagement within the classroom; behavior intervention supports and data collection when needed. Commitment to ongoing team development, curriculum and professional development and instructional technology.
