Job Description

Make a meaningful difference by supporting students with visual impairments in Southern Oregon for the 2026-2027 school year! This rewarding contract position offers the chance to collaborate with passionate professionals in a variety of school settings, serving a diverse K12 caseload across several counties. Choose between in-person or virtual instruction (VOCO), delivering essential educational services where they're needed most. We are searching for a dedicated educator with specialized training and licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) in Oregon. Your expertise will help empower students to achieve greater independence and academic success, while you foster supportive relationships with families and school teams.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

Current Oregon TVI Certification/Licensure Experience working with K12 students with visual impairments Ability to travel within Jackson, Josephine, Douglas, Klamath, and Lake counties, if providing in-person services Comfort with digital platforms for remote/VOCO instruction, if applicable Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Collaborative mindset and readiness to engage with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

Assess students visual and learning needs to develop individualized education plans Deliver specialized instruction and teach adaptive techniques Provide direct and consultative support to students, classroom teachers, and support staff Adapt curriculum materials and environments for accessibility Keep thorough records, progress reports, and compliance documentation Collaborate with families and IEP team members to ensure student growth and inclusion Enjoy the flexibility of a 3032 hour work week, with the stability of a position running from early December through mid-June.
