Non-Exempt Join the ACE Team! The Academy for Career Excellence (ACE) is seeking a skilled, dependable, and customer-focused Technology Support Specialist to support the technology needs of our students, instructors, and staff. ACE is a hands-on Career and Technical Education (CTE) learning environment where technology plays an important role in instruction, industry certification testing, online curriculum, and the day-to-day operation of our programs. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting technology while also working directly with educators and students. What You'll Do The Technology Support Specialist will provide on-site technology and instructional support at ACE, including: Diagnose, repair, and maintain computers, laptops, peripherals, and other District-supported technology. Install, configure, troubleshoot, and support approved software and operating systems. Assist with network hardware, connectivity, Ethernet, and wireless access point issues. Maintain accurate inventories of technology hardware and software. Manage and document technology service requests and repairs. Provide responsive, positive customer service to students, teachers, administrators, and staff. Support instructional technology used throughout ACE's Career and Technical Education programs. Assist with online curriculum platforms and digital instructional resources . Provide technology support and oversight for industry certification testing . Troubleshoot technology issues that could interfere with classroom instruction, assessments, or school operations. Work collaboratively with ACE staff and Beaufort County School District Technology Services.
Qualifications Candidates should possess:
A minimum of a high school diploma. At least three years of field and/or bench experience in computer hardware and technology support. CompTIA A+ certification with experience supporting computer hardware and Microsoft Windows. CompTIA Network+ certification and experience with workstation and network configurations. Strong working knowledge of software applications and operating systems. Understanding of network premise wiring and
ANSI/EIA/TIA-568
standards. Ability to diagnose technical problems using manuals, schematics, and troubleshooting procedures. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical users. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Ability to successfully complete required background screening. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification may be substituted for the A+ and Network+ certification requirements. Why ACE?
