Primary Purpose:

Under the direction of the Director of Instructional Services, the instructional coach supports staff at multiple campuses and will engage in the delivery of job-embedded professional development, including facilitating campus PLCs, observing teachers, coaching, and modeling instructional strategies, and providing feedback to ensure effective instruction and student learning. \nTexas state teacher certification in applicable grades\nTexas state teacher ESL certification or endorsement/supplemental\nTexas state teacher certification (or 18 college hours) in applicable content area\n

Special Knowledge/Skills:

\nKnowledge of coaching cycle\nKnowledge of HQIM curriculum\nKnowledge of instruction at multiple grade levels\nAbility to deliver professional development to teachers\nAbility to work collaboratively with colleagues, including experience in leading/facilitating content meetings\n

In collaboration with the Director of Instructional Services, facilitate, train, and support ongoing campus and district professional development.\n5. Assist campus and district staff with gathering, examining, and analyzing formative and summative assessment data to identify learning concerns for individual students and groups of students. Provides coaching support that is responsive to the identified needs of staff.\n6. Keep current on research-based instructional strategies and best practices emphasizing student engagement and learning. 7. Work with members of staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods according to district requirements.\n8.
