WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The CTE Integration Strategist serves as a campus-based instructional leader responsible for supporting teachers through coaching, instructional technology integration, career exploration initiatives, digital learning, and implementation of innovative instructional practices. The Strategist works alongside campus administrators, CTE teachers, counselors, and district leadership to strengthen instructional quality while increasing student achievement, industry-based certifications (IBCs), program completion, work-based learning participation, and CCMR outcomes. This position emphasizes coaching rather than evaluation and serves as a bridge between classroom instruction, technology, workforce readiness, and district CTE initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's Degree Valid Texas Teaching Certificate CTE Certification preferred Master's Degree preferred
Experience:
Minimum three years successful classroom teaching Successful implementation of technology-rich instruction Experience delivering professional development Experience coaching adult learners preferred Knowledge of Career & Technical Education programs Special Knowledge and Skills Google Workspace for Education Learning Management Systems Artificial Intelligence tools for education Career exploration platforms Microsoft Office Suite Data analysis Strong presentation skills Project management Effective interpersonal communication Knowledge of TEKS and CTE Programs of Study Knowledge of CCMR accountability Knowledge of PEIMS preferred
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Professional Growth Participate in ongoing professional learning related to instructional coaching, educational technology, artificial intelligence, accountability, and Career & Technical Education. Maintain current knowledge of emerging instructional technologies and workforce trends. Model continuous learning and innovation. Participate in required district and regional CTE meetings. Instructional Leadership The CTE Integration Strategist shall: Provide job-embedded instructional coaching to assigned campuses. Model high-quality CTE instruction. Co-plan and co-teach lessons with teachers. Support teachers implementing technology-rich instruction. Assist teachers with lesson design aligned to TEKS. Integrate AI tools into classroom instruction. Promote project-based learning. Support digital portfolio implementation. Support industry certification preparation. Assist teachers in improving student engagement. Collaborate with campus administration to support instructional improvement. Assist teachers in implementing Career Preparation and Practicum expectations. Technology Integration Provide Google Workspace professional development. Train staff on district-approved instructional technology. Support digital classroom implementation. Assist with classroom technology troubleshooting. Coordinate technology inventory. Recommend instructional technology purchases. Maintain software licenses and digital resources. Support equitable access to instructional technology. Career Exploration & Workforce Readiness Support implementation of district career exploration initiatives. Train teachers and counselors on career planning platforms. Support digital career portfolios. Assist with career fairs. Support work-based learning initiatives. Assist with business and industry partnerships. Coordinate virtual career experiences. Promote employability skills instruction. Professional Learning Plan and facilitate district professional development. Deliver campus-based coaching sessions. Develop instructional resources. Support new teacher induction. Mentor beginning CTE teachers. Assist with instructional technology implementation. Share instructional best practices. Data & Accountability Assist in collecting and analyzing district CTE data.
Support monitoring of:
CCMR Indicators Industry-Based Certifications Program Completers Freshman On Track Work-Based Learning Postsecondary Readiness Assist with PEIMS verification. Prepare reports and presentations. Support district improvement planning. Assist with Perkins documentation. Monitor instructional implementation data. These responsibilities directly reflect the expanded 2026-2027 role expectations, including planning, technology integration, classroom support, CCMR monitoring, PEIMS support, and accountability reporting. Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) Participate in campus PLCs. Support collaborative lesson planning. Facilitate instructional discussions. Share innovative instructional strategies. Promote continuous improvement. Culture & Climate Build positive relationships with teachers and administrators. Foster a collaborative coaching environment. Promote innovation. Encourage reflective practice. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality. School & Community Relations Collaborate with campus principals. Work with counselors and instructional staff. Support advisory committee activities. Assist with district showcases and events. Engage parents regarding career planning resources. Collaborate with business and industry partners. These duties are consistent with the expanded campus partnership expectations outlined in the 2026-2027 role document. Administrative Responsibilities Maintain accurate records. Manage technology inventory. Coordinate equipment maintenance. Monitor digital subscriptions. Complete assigned reports. Assist with budget recommendations. Support department initiatives as assigned.

Salary according to the La Joya ISD Teacher Pay Scale and Board-approved compensation plan.
