Competitive hourly pay, based on experience About KOD Dance Academy KOD Dance Academy is a professional street dance academy committed to providing high-quality dance education for children, teenagers, and adults. We believe dance should inspire confidence, creativity, discipline, and self-expression while creating a fun and supportive learning environment.www.kodusa.com We are currently expanding our teaching team and are looking for passionate, professional instructors specializing in Hip Hop, House, Choreography, and Jazz Funk. Responsibilities Teach engaging and well-structured dance classes for children, teenagers, and beginner students. Create lesson plans that are age-appropriate and aligned with students' skill levels. Help students develop strong fundamentals, musicality, coordination, and confidence. Foster a positive, encouraging, and disciplined classroom environment. Prepare students for showcases, performances, workshops, and competitions. Communicate professionally with academy staff and parents when necessary. Arrive on time and be fully prepared for every class. Contribute to a positive team culture and support academy events when needed. Minimum Qualifications At least 3 years of dance teaching experience. Strong expertise in Hip Hop, House, Choreography, or Jazz Funk. Experience teaching children and teenagers. Comfortable working with complete beginners. Excellent classroom management skills. Patient, energetic, and passionate about teaching young dancers. Professional, dependable, and punctual. Authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Applicants with the following experience are highly preferred: Experience teaching children ages 4-15 Experience developing structured dance curriculum Competition, battle, or professional performance experience Ability to teach multiple dance styles Experience preparing students for performances and competitions CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred but not required) Bilingual (English/Chinese or English/Korean) is a plus What We're Looking For We are looking for instructors who: Love teaching—not just performing. Are patient and encouraging with young students. Can inspire confidence while maintaining classroom discipline. Are passionate about helping beginners build a strong dance foundation. Have excellent communication and teamwork skills. Are committed to long-term growth with our academy. Are willing to follow KOD's teaching philosophy and curriculum while bringing their own creativity into class.
Schedule Availability Preferred availability includes:
Monday-Friday (Afternoon & Evening) Saturdays and/or Sundays Ability to teach multiple classes per week is preferred. Hiring Process Qualified applicants may be asked to: Participate in a paid audition class. Complete an interview with the academy. Demonstrate teaching ability with beginner or youth students.
