Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Dance Instructor to inspire creativity and foster a love for movement among students of all ages. In this role, you will design engaging dance curricula, lead energetic classes, and cultivate a positive learning environment that encourages artistic expression and technical skill development. Duties Develop comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating various styles such as ballet, contemporary, jazz, or hip-hop Lead lively, well-structured dance classes that motivate students to learn and improve their skills Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants Choreograph routines for performances, recitals, or competitions that showcase students' talents and progress Incorporate elements of musical instruments, theater experience, and visual arts into dance instruction to enrich the learning experience Provide constructive feedback to students on technique, performance quality, and artistic growth Collaborate with parents, guardians, or program coordinators to track student progress and address individual needs Qualifications Proven experience in teaching hip-hop, acro dance, tap, or ballet with a focus on choreography and movement instruction Modeling appropriate constructive behavior and enforcing our community standards in classes to maintain proactive learning environment. Experience working with children and youth programs, including preschool-age children and students with diverse backgrounds Knowledge of classroom management techniques and childhood development principles Skills in curriculum development tailored to various age groups and skill levels Ability to work closely and collaboratively on our team Hourly rate will depend on experience level and credentials. With continuing education opportunities provided as a bonus once an established member of the team.
