Childrens Tumbling/Acro Instructor

Job Description

We are looking for an instructor who genuinely enjoys working with children and can make tumbling/acro classes safe, structured, encouraging, and fun . The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with excellent classroom management and the ability to help students build confidence as they develop strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and acrobatic skills. The Role You will teach age
  • and ability-appropriate tumbling/acro classes for children in a supportive studio environment.
Instruction may include:
Strength and flexibility development Balance and coordination Forward and backward rolls Handstands and cartwheels Bridges and walkovers Partner and conditioning exercises Progressive tumbling and acrobatic skills appropriate to each student's level Our priority is excellent fundamentals and safe progression—not rushing students into advanced tricks . Who We're Looking For You may be a great fit if you: Love teaching and encouraging children Have experience teaching acro, gymnastics, tumbling, cheer, dance, or a closely related discipline Understand safe skill progressions and proper spotting techniques Can confidently manage a class while keeping the atmosphere positive and engaging Recognize that children develop at different rates and know how to challenge students without overwhelming them Communicate professionally with students, parents, and fellow faculty Are dependable, punctual, prepared, and comfortable working as part of a team Create an environment where students feel both supported and accountable Preferred Qualifications Previous experience teaching children in acro, gymnastics, tumbling, cheer, or dance Acro teaching certification or recognized gymnastics/tumbling training CPR/First Aid certification Knowledge of anatomy, flexibility training, conditioning, and injury-prevention principles Experience working within a progressive acro curriculum Exceptional candidates with strong practical teaching experience are encouraged to apply even if they do not hold every preferred credential. What Matters Most Technical ability is important, but the ability to teach children well is essential . We value instructors who can walk into a studio, establish positive control of the class, explain skills clearly, recognize when a child is ready to progress, and make students excited to return the following week. A successful instructor will help students leave class feeling stronger, more capable, and more confident than when they arrived . Schedule This is a part-time teaching position . Class schedule and weekly teaching hours will be discussed with qualified candidates based on studio needs and instructor availability. Potential opportunities may exist to expand teaching hours as the program grows. Compensation Competitive hourly compensation based on teaching experience, qualifications, certifications, and demonstrated ability.
Pay:
$30.00
  • $40.00 per hour Application Question(s): Are you available to teach:
  • Mondays, 3pm to 6pm
  • Tuesdays, 3pm to 7pm
  • Wednesdays, 3pm to 4pm and
  • Thursdays, 4pm to 6pm
