FOR MULTIPLE LOCATIONS. TRANSPORTATION IS A MUST!
The ideal candidate: -Will be able to teach at our standing location in Severna Park,MD during afternoons and weekend mornings AND/OR teach at one or more of our Daycare Dance locations during the weekday mornings (Gambrills, Baltimore, Gaithersburg, Bowie, Bethesda, and Ellicott City) -Has experience teaching and can comfortably lead a dance class for students ages 3 through 17 years of age. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles and the ability to teach students of all ages, from children to adults. This role involves teaching our done-for-you engaging lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and fostering a love for dance in all students. The Dance Instructor will play a vital role in developing students' skills while promoting creativity and self-expression through movement. Duties Teach various dance styles, including ballet, contemporary, and other genres as needed. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment. Provide individualized attention to students to enhance their learning experience. Utilize photography skills to document student progress and performances when necessary. Engage with parents or guardians regarding student progress and any concerns. Skills Proficient in teaching techniques for various age groups, including early childhood education. Experience working with children in settings such as childcare or preschool environments. Knowledge of behavior management strategies to support diverse learners, including those with special needs. Familiarity with childhood development principles to foster growth in young dancers. Ability to incorporate creative arts such as theater into dance instruction.
