Performance Track Dance Teacher Combo Dance (Ballet, Jazz & Creative), Acro & Hip Hop $20-$32/hour, based on experience What if teaching dance wasn't just about counts and choreography… but about helping a kid discover who they're becoming, finding confidence and excitement to try new things? "With seven kids in the program over the years, I've seen it all — and my kids have always been met right where they are here, accepted at whatever level they come in at. They adore their teachers and look forward to every class. Watching them succeed at their own pace has done more for their confidence than I ever expected." — Melissa, Premier parent of seven That wasn't written for a job posting. It was said to us by a parent who's watched seven kids grow here. And it's exactly why we're hiring. Moments like that don't happen by accident. They happen because a teacher genuinely cared about the whole child in front of them, not just the steps. About the role We're looking for someone to teach in our Combo, Acro, and/or Hip Hop programs, ages 3 through 11. Here's what we currently have open: Monday, 7:00-7:45 PM — Mini Funk Hip Hop Crew (K-3rd grade / ages 5-9) Tuesday, 4:00-5:00 PM — Dance Creators Combo (4th-5th grade / ages 9-11) Tuesday, 5:15-6:00 PM — Acro Level 1 (2nd-5th grade / ages 7-11) Tuesday, 6:00-6:45 PM — Dance Explorers Combo (2nd-3rd grade / ages 7-9) Wednesday, 5:35-6:20 PM — Dance Explorers Combo (K-1st grade / ages 5-7) Wednesday, 6:30-7:15 PM — Mini Funk Hip Hop Crew (K-3rd grade / ages 5-9) Wednesday, 7:15-8:00 PM — Dance Explorers Combo (2nd-3rd grade / ages 7-9) Thursday, 5:30-6:15 PM — Dance Explorers Combo (K-1st grade / ages 5-7) Thursday, 6:15-7:00 PM — Acro Explorers (K-1st grade / ages 5-7) You're welcome to apply even if you can only teach one class and/or one day — we have multiple openings and would love to find the right fit for your schedule. There's also room to grow into more classes as you settle in.
A little about the classes:
Combo Dance blends ballet, jazz, and creative dance to help young dancers fall in love with movement while building coordination, rhythm, and confidence. Acro teaches dance-based tumbling and flexibility skills in a safe, progression-based way, building strength and body awareness. Hip Hop is high-energy, fun choreography that helps kids build rhythm, confidence, and self-expression while having a great time moving. What you'll do Teach and lead weekly classes in your assigned style(s), building technique and confidence in an age-appropriate, encouraging environment Follow and build on curriculum support provided by our in-house curriculum team — you won't be starting from a blank page Communicate with parents about their child's progress and experience in class Help prepare students for recital and other performance opportunities Take part in staff trainings throughout the season What we're looking for 2+ years of teaching experience (dance or otherwise) required Dance background strongly preferred; formal dance training or a dance education degree is a plus Relevant certifications (Acro certification, dance education certification, hip hop training/certification) are a plus and may qualify you for higher pay Comfortable working with young children (ages 3-11) in a warm, patient, and encouraging way CPR and First Aid certification required (we can help point you toward a course if you don't currently have one) We're open to candidates who don't check every box above — if you have strong teaching experience but less dance background (or vice versa), we'd still love to hear from you. Pay will be based on experience and qualifications. What we offer Competitive pay ($20-$32/hour based on experience) Ongoing staff training and support Curriculum support — you're not building lesson plans alone Room to grow into more classes and hours as your schedule allows A discount on classes for your own kids A genuinely warm, team-oriented studio culture Sound like you?
