Job Description
Bella Ballerina RVA | Chesterfield, Short Pump & NEW Forest Hill Do you love dance and working with children? Keep reading, as this may be the perfect role for you! Bella Ballerina RVA is the area's premier dance studio for young children, serving dancers ages 18 months through 10 years old. We're looking for one or two enthusiastic, reliable instructors to join our growing team for our Fall 2026 season. This teacher would teach Saturday mornings or Sunday afternoons (or both!) at our Forest Hill studio, starting Saturday, September 5, 2026 or ASAP after that. As a Bella Ballerina instructor, you'll teach the same weekly class days and times each week, allowing you to build meaningful relationships with your dancers and their families. We provide an extensive paid training program, a supportive team environment, and all of the tools you'll need to feel confident in the classroom. What You'll Do As a Bella Ballerina instructor, you'll be assigned a consistent weekly schedule and teach the same classes each week throughout the season.
Responsibilities include:
Teaching engaging dance classes for children ages 18 months to 10 years Preparing your weekly classes using Bella Ballerina's curriculum Learning and teaching seasonal choreography provided by Bella Ballerina Creating a fun, encouraging, and professional classroom environment Communicating with families before and after class Depending on your assigned shift, assisting with studio clean-up at the end of the day All instructors receive paid class preparation time , and you'll also receive paid administrative time each season to learn new choreography. Paid Training We believe great instructors are trained, not expected to know everything on day one. Before teaching independently, every new instructor completes: Approximately 10 hours of paid at-home training Approximately 10 hours of paid in-person training Our training program is designed to ensure every instructor feels confident, prepared, and supported before stepping into the classroom. Available Shifts Forest Hill - 7101
N Forest Hill Avenue Saturdays:
9:00 AM-1:30 PM, and occasional birthday party hosting until 7
PM Sundays:
2:45-5:30 PM, and occasional birthday party hosting on Sunday mornings Additional substitute teaching opportunities and special event shifts are also available after training is completed. The ideal candidate:
