Studio Operations and Admin Lead:

a leader with a genuine dance background who will spend about a third of the week teaching our performers and the rest running the studio's day-to-day operations, administration, and scheduling, and keeping everything moving ahead of schedule. You will work directly with the owner and hold real decision-making authority. Let's be clear about the shape of this role: it is a leadership role first that includes teaching, not a teaching job with admin attached. Teaching is capped at roughly a third of your hours by design, so the person in this seat has the time to actually lead. 1. About Melody Lane We are a performing arts academy where children learn far more than technique. Our mission is inspiring through performing arts while building independence, leadership, responsibility, respect, and community. Our performers (that's what we call our students) do not just take classes. They and their families become part of something bigger. Melody Lane is not a drop-in teaching environment. We are a collaborative, child-centered performing arts community committed to developing confident humans through the arts, and we protect that culture carefully in who we hire. 2. What You'll Do Teach 8 to 12 hours of classes each week, bringing your training and love of dance straight to our performers. Run day-to-day studio operations and scheduling so classes, events, and trimester transitions happen without last-minute scrambles. Own our operational timelines and lookahead planning: you are the person who sees three weeks ahead and keeps every moving part on track. Lead the studio's admin backbone: our scheduling, class management, and project systems run through you (we will train you on our specific tools). Coordinate substitute coverage and instructor scheduling so classes are never scrambling for coverage. Support performance and event production alongside our events team, from planning through show day. Be a warm, steady escalation point for family questions and concerns, resolving them with care. Partner directly with the owner on studio operations and growth. This seat has a documented career pathway toward senior leadership for the right person. 3. Our team runs on collaboration, not spotlight. Available Monday through Thursday afternoons and evenings. You do not need to have held an operations title before. We will train our systems.
