We are seeking a strong, hands-on Instructional Leader who can coach, support, and hold staff accountable to ensure excellence in every classroom. Position Summary The Instructional Leader is responsible for improving the quality of instruction across all classrooms by providing coaching, modeling, feedback, and accountability systems. This role ensures that teachers are effectively implementing curriculum, using positive guidance strategies, and creating engaging, developmentally appropriate learning environments. This is not a sit-back role — this is a lead-from-the-front, in-the-classroom, sleeves-rolled-up position . Key ResponsibilitiesCoaching & Classroom Support Conduct regular classroom observations (formal and informal) Provide real-time coaching, modeling, and feedback to teachers Support implementation of Conscious Discipline and social-emotional strategies Guide teachers in using open-ended questions and intentional teaching practices Assist with lesson planning and curriculum implementation (Experience Early Learning) Accountability & Quality Assurance Ensure classrooms meet NECPA standards and licensing requirements Track and monitor classroom performance and teacher progress Conduct follow-ups on coaching plans and ensure implementation Support behavior management strategies and reduce challenging behaviors Staff Development Lead professional development trainings and workshops Support onboarding and training of new teachers Create individualized coaching plans for teachers needing support Partner with leadership on performance improvement plans (PIPs) Data & Compliance Assist with assessments and progress monitoring (PFA requirements) Ensure documentation is complete and aligned with standards Support readiness for audits, accreditation, and quality initiatives Culture & Leadership Promote a positive, professional, and solution-oriented work environment Build strong relationships with staff while maintaining clear expectations Serve as a bridge between administration and teaching staff Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required) Minimum 3-5 years of classroom experience (required) Previous coaching or leadership experience (preferred) Strong knowledge of: Conscious Discipline Classroom management strategies Developmentally appropriate practices Ability to give direct, constructive feedback and hold staff accountable Strong organizational and communication skills What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who: Is confident, but coachable Can balance support with accountability Is comfortable addressing performance issues directly Thrives in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment Truly believes in improving outcomes for children and teachers Why Join Us Supportive leadership team Opportunity to make a real impact across multiple classrooms Professional growth and leadership development A center that is actively growing and improving How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief statement describing your experience with instructional coaching in early childhood settings.
