Drama Teacher-Director (Culver City) Drama Maniacs Culver City, CA Job Details Contract $40 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Paid training Qualifications Experience teaching visual & performing arts School experience Youth programs teaching experience Conducting performance preparation techniques Working with students Dancing activities for children Elementary school teaching experience Teaching experience with young children Full Job Description Drama Maniacs is looking for part-time, afterschool Instructor-Directors at schools in the Culver City area for our Fall 2026 Play Performance Session. We are specifically looking to fill classes on Wednesdays (1:50-3:20pm) in Culver City, so applicants must have availability to teach between those times on Wednesdays (early-Sept through early-Nov). Must have reliable transportation and be able to teach in Culver City.

The Drama Maniacs afterschool program is fast-paced, creative, and

INSANELY FUN!

The main focus of Drama Maniacs is student-created productions (Fall Plays and Spring Musicals). We are looking for EXCITING, energetic, enthusiastic, and professional individuals who are passionate about teaching drama and improv to kids. Previous experience teaching and managing groups of children (15 to 20 students per class - students do not audition) ages 5-12 required. Experience teaching and directing acting/improv/singing/dancing a plus. (Additional paid training provided.) Candidates must feel comfortable (and excited about) rehearsing and directing a partly student-created show with groups of elementary school aged children (Grades K-5th). We provide the shows, curriculum, and all teaching and performance materials (costumes, props, backdrops etc.) We are looking for teachers with excellent classroom management skills and DYNAMIC teaching personalities!!! $50 per 90-minute class plus $90 bonus (per school) for completing all classes in the fall session (i.e. $10 bonus per class).
