Position:
Under the supervision of a licensed professional, this position provides support to the instructional process by assisting in the instruction, rehearsals and/or performances of instrumental music students. This may include duties such as: Preparing students either as soloists or ensemble members for various performances; supervising sectional rehearsals and ensembles; and preparing group(s) for participation in school performances, festivals, clinics, parades, etc. Involves knowledge along with experience of instrumental music techniques, performance practices, and the ability to develop musicianship in a classroom setting. Familiarity with instrumental music ensembles as well as different instruments and components. Ability to read and interpret music notation; effectively work with all students; and maintain confidentiality.
