Job Description

Take A Bow Playhouse on Long Island offers children's musical theatre classes that combine acting, singing, and dance in a fun, supportive environment. Our program strives to help students build self-esteem and self-confidence while learning proper technique in a recreational setting. Our instructors are passionate about creating a positive learning experience where every child can grow as a performer. We are seeking an experienced, energetic Part-Time Musical Theatre Voice Instructor to teach singing and vocal technique to students age 5-10 in group musical theatre classes. This is an excellent opportunity for a voice teacher, vocal coach, music teacher, choir director, or musical theatre performer who enjoys working with children.
Requirements:
Experience teaching voice, singing, or musical theatre Background in music education, vocal performance, musical theatre, or vocal pedagogy Knowledge of producing a musical theatre performance Strong classroom management skills Ability to work with elementary-aged children Reliable transportation Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities:
Be present and prepared for every scheduled class Teach proper vocal technique, breath support, pitch matching, diction, and performance skills. Lead engaging singing activities for children. Prepare age-appropriate lesson plans. Work collaboratively with musical theatre instructors. Help students build confidence through performance. Prepare students for recitals and productions (attendance at each class performance is required) Communicate with parents as needed. Create a safe, fun and enjoyable environment

4:15 PM-6:15
PM Saturdays:
