Program Director Work Schedule After School Program:
Monday-Friday, 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
No School Days & Summer Camp:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of the required 40-hour School-Age Child Care Training, including: School-Age Program Certification Advancing Youth Development (AYD) Completion of a minimum of 12 hours of annual in-service training, as required by licensing and program standards. Current Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office, email, and internet-based systems. Ability to successfully pass a Level II criminal background screening and meet all applicable child care licensing requirements. Position Summary The Classroom Group Leader is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment for school-age children. This position provides academic support, supervises daily classroom activities, implements curriculum, and promotes positive youth development while ensuring compliance with program, licensing, and funding requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plan, organize, and manage all classroom activities and daily operations. Develop and implement weekly and monthly lesson plans that align with program curriculum and Prime Time Palm Beach County standards. Provide continuous supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of all children. Engage actively with students through instruction, tutoring, mentoring, and enrichment activities throughout the program day. Assist students with homework daily. When homework is not assigned, provide targeted academic support based on individual learning needs and teacher feedback. Foster a positive classroom environment by implementing appropriate behavior management techniques and maintaining discipline in a respectful, professional manner. Supervise, mentor, and assign responsibilities to the Classroom Assistant. Coordinate and oversee volunteers, interns, and community service participants assigned to the classroom in collaboration with the Program Director. Communicate and collaborate with school personnel, parents, and program staff to support each child's academic and developmental success. Ensure the proper care, organization, and maintenance of classroom materials, supplies, and equipment. Maintain accurate attendance records and complete all required documentation in a timely manner. Supervise children during field trips and off-site activities, ensuring compliance with all safety procedures. Attend and actively participate in required staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions. Follow all organizational policies, licensing regulations, and safety procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Pay:
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
